I will be traveling for a few days. The next post will be on Monday.
I am updating the software and there are still some glitches. Let me know if you have any problems.
Elsewhere it may be different but in the part of the world where I live not much work will get done for the next few days as we celebrate Christmas and the New Year. Any posting I do will be erratic for the next week. In the meantime, happy holidays to all who observe them!
The service that hosts this blog updated some software early Sunday morning. Unfortunately, the service had some PHP problems and this blog was knocked out. As luck would have it, I was traveling and had to try to jerry-rig a temporary solution using a flaky hotel wireless Internet connection. Anyway, we are up again but there are still some kinks I have to deal with. Let me know if you have any trouble viewing the blog.
Thanks for your patience.
I will be upgrading the software today. If all goes well, disruption should be minimal.
I will be updating the blogging software tonight. Disruption should be minimal but you never know.
Because of travel and the holiday season, I will be posting only sporadically until after the new year begins.
Happy holidays!
I have moved to a new hosting service. So far the migration seems to have gone smoothly. I apologize for any disruptions that may have occurred. Let me know if you experience any problems.
I am experimenting with the appearance of the blog again. Any comments are welcome.
I’ve been pretty busy and I almost forgot to note that this blog was one year old on September 16. So far I have written 452 posts. That’s a lot of words and I hope at least some of the content has been informative. Although a number of people have joined as members, not many post comments. While the number of comments hasn’t been as high as I would wish, at least those few have been pretty relevant. And for that I am grateful. When I look around the Web, I see a lot of really infantile and vacuous commentary.
I thank those who have been readers this past year and hope you will continue with us as we survey the wonders (and the follies) of the computing world. Please do join in and give us your thoughts, too.
