Birthday of this blog
On September 16, 2005, the first post was made on this blog. Over 4000 more posts have followed. Many of the posts were about subjects of the day whose interest has faded. But looking back, I see certain themes that have persisted.
Security is one—I have made 668 posts about security. The first one was ten days after the blog began and it isn’t much different from recent posts. It is discouraging to read over those old security posts and see how little if any progress has been made.
Another theme that was repeated many times was the need for home computers that are simpler. Thanks to the iPad, we may finally be getting somewhere in that area.
The growth of mobile platforms was another topic that was frequently visited and mobile is now all the rage. Smartphones may be the PC of the future.
There have been other themes as well. Let us know what your favorites are and what you think is important for the future.
