Find out what’s changing with Google Trends
There is no question that Google has a storehouse of data that contains an incredible amount of information about the world and its inhabitants. One way of seeing what people are interested in is to track what subjects they are searching. In fact, this type of data is valuable for all sorts of things. Marketing is an obvious application but, as was posted several years ago, predicting the future is also a possibility.
Google has something called Google Trends that will let you see graphs of the popularity of a search term over various time periods and in various geographical locations. The FAQ explaining Trends is at this link.
