Recovering deleted files
Personal files can be precious. If one gets accidentally deleted and you empty the Recycle Bin before you realize that the file is gone, what do you do? Because it’s not unusual for home PC users to ask me this question, periodically I mention software for recovering deleted files (for example, at this post). A recent fairly extensive article on recovering deleted files is at Lifehacker. The article discusses some free software for undeleting. It also covers some situations where files have become inaccessible from problems other than deletion such as bad hard drives and scratched CDs.
