Windows stop messages

Just about everybody has had Windows crash on them. The infamous “blue screen of death” is something most regular PC users have seen at one time or the other. Crashes are much less common with updated Windows XP systems than they once were and Vista is even more stable. However, crashes may still happen and, when they do, you may want to know what caused the problem. Generally, they are hardware issues and you get an error or “stop” message. Unfortunately, stop messages refer to enigmatic hexadecimal codes. For most home users, they might as well be written in Sanskrit. For those who really want to know, there is an excellent compilation of error codes at www.aumha.org/a/stop.php.
