Vista takes its time

There is no question that Vista is pretty slow at many tasks. However I have noticed an improvement from some of the latest updates. For example, file copying is now observably brisker on my machine. A funny example of a Vista bug in calculating has just been posted by Long Zheng. I hope he doesn’t mind but I couldn’t resist “borrowing” his figure.

Long time to wait

Zheng comments, “When this is done, in year 2136, it’ll be the last time I’ll ever use the built-in CD burning function in Windows.”
