Measuring distances in Google maps
Do you want to get the distances between several places quickly? This can be handy when planning a trip. You could create a complete itinerary but a faster way is to use the Distance Measuring Tool in Google Maps. The instuctions are at this link. With this tool, all you have to do is click and drag on a map. No need to type in actual locations. And it’s easy to change your mind.
Addendum: I should point out that the distances from the tool are “as the crow flies” so driving distances will be longer.
