Web sites for checking for malware
There is a a lot of free software out there on the Internet that is worthwhile. There are also a lot of programs that are spyware, or worse, contain Trojan horses. How do you tell the bad from the good? You should check anything that you download with your anti-virus program but you can also check with some of the many sites that specialize in information about malware.
