Free font tools from Microsoft
Many PC users are probably unaware of the range of different fonts that are on a Windows system. You can read more about fonts in Windows in a several articles beginning here. You can also download several useful free font tools at Microsoft Typography. A recent addition to the tools is an extension for font properties that gives you more information about a given font. Microsoft describes it:
Learn more about your fonts with this new and improved font properties extension. Once installed, details of a particular font’s copyright, embedding permissions, hinting, multi-language support, and other features are just a right-click away.
