WGA, DRM, SPP- Is DNA testing next?

Personally, I think Microsoft is pushing the outer limits of the consumer’s tolerance with its obsession with software piracy. They are certainly pushing my outer limits. In its relentless campaign to extract every dollar possible from the ordinary PC user, Microsoft has become downright offensive. It isn’t enough that the company hounds people but it persists in the PR malarkey that what is being done is an “advantage” for the consumer. So the company insults our intelligence as well. Not only does Microsoft see us as sheep to be sheared but as stupid sheep to boot.

Things are so bad that even George Ou, who generally does anything he can to put a positive spin on all things Microsoft, is grumbling. Over at the Neat Net Tricks bulletin board, someone jokingly reported that DNA testing was going to be required. Microsoft has gotten such a bad reputation for intrusive practices that the suggestion was taken seriously by some.
