Tips for using common software

PC World has a new article, 78 Ways to Make Software Do More, that gives tips for using a number of common software applications. According to the article

With these tips and tools, your everyday applications–from Office to IE, Firefox to ZoneAlarm–can become faster, more powerful, and easier to use.

There’s nothing really new here nor is it complete but it is convenient to have a bunch of tips in one place.
