The World’s best mouse?
I decided a long time ago that a few extra dollars for a good mouse was money well spent. It’s not that I make use of the slew of extra buttons. My fingers are not agile enough and I end up pushing the wrong button too often. However, a good cordless optical mouse with scroll functions that fits my hand is a joy to use and I like my Logitech MX700 very much. (This is an unsolicited and unpaid plug.)
Now Logitech has come out with the ne plus ultra of mice, the “MX Revolution”. Extreme Tech has a long and very detailed review with many pictures. The conclusion?
Summary: You’re paying top dollar for the best mouse, period. Other than the price, there’s nothing else that we can really complain about with the MX.
The price is $99.99. I gather from comments at the Extreme Tech article that the mouse is just becoming available. I am happy with my older mouse and the new one has too many buttons for my taste. But to paraphrase an old TV commercial, it looks like the mouse for those who demand the very best.
