Tales about Microsoft from inside
Do you like gossip? How about some tattling on Microsoft management? A Microsoft development team manager, Phillip Su, has had a blog complaining about what he thinks went wrong with Vista. Apparently, he has changed his mind a few times about whether to leave it on the Web and has pulled it but the Desktop Pipeline relates
In the now-gone entry, Su said that at Microsoft, telling the truth about a deadline, and how impossible that deadline is, gets you nowhere.
“Every once in a while, Truth still pipes up in meetings. When this happens, more often than not, Truth is simply bent over an authoritative knee and soundly spanked into silence.”
