Latest Microsoft Patch Wreaks Havoc on Outlook Express

Microsoft’s batch of April 11 patches is continuing to wreak havoc on users on a variety of fronts. The latest set of problems involves Outlook Express. Users are reporting patch MS06-16 can obliterate their Outlook Express address books. The best advice, according to the experts? Don’t allow Windows Update to install patches automatically; require manual prompts. Update: Microsoft is now planning to re-issue the MS06-015 update on April 25 to correct the varied problems Windows users have been encountering.
