Free “undelete” program

When you permanently delete a file either by emptying the Recycle Bin or other method, the file is actually still on the hard drive or other storage medium. As was explained earlier, it may be possible to recover a deleted file with various software. OfficeRecovery.com is offering a free undelete program that could come in very handy if you don’t already have this type of utility.

    I have used some freeware undelete programs in the past with limited success. Sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn’t. Eventually I purchased a commercial quality file recovery program. In this case it was StompSoft’s Recover Lost Data . After having used this program for some time now, I’ve realized that many of the freewares can not compete with a fully developed commercial software. That being said I believe that you get what you pay for and I now reach for commercial software before I even consider freeware.
