Windows and case conundrums on the Internet
Windows does not distinguish between upper case and lower case in file and folder names. As far as Windows is concerned, “MYfilename†is the same file as “myfilenameâ€Â. This may not make much difference as long as you are working locally but as soon as you go on the Internet, you have to be strict about case. Although domain names are not case-sensitive, directory and file names on many Internet servers are. This means that URLs must be written with the proper case. Otherwise, you get the frustrating “File not found†message. I know from personal experience with creating websites that this can be a real problem. So you have to be careful to use the proper case when entering URLs into your browser address bar
